Technology services provider Ingram Micro celebrated 10 years in the Philippines with a light Coachella-themed weekend rock concert.
Rock Mnl 2019 featured current hits from bands like Parokya Ni Edgar, December Avenue, This Band, Ransom Collective, and Ely Buendia last May 5, Saturday at the Circuit Grounds in Makati.
In time for its annual spring/summertime family day event and 10-year anniversary, the rock concert was Ingram Micro’s way of celebrating and paying homage to its associates, employees and their families.
Sam White, Executive Director of HR, likewise said the concert embodies two of their six-pronged IMENGAGED workforce engagement program.
One of these is Social Responsibility, which is part of Ingram Micro’s fun-at-work campaign. The other one, Rewards and Recognition, thereby rewards employees for dedication, loyalty, performance and talent.
Meanwhile, its other engagement dimensions are Health and Wellness, Diversity and Inclusion, Career Growth and Development, and Overall Organization Governance.
For applicants who may be interested, Ingram Micro is a very good company to work for being No. 1 in technology solutions, White said.
“The people that need us know who we are, (and) we have wonderful people programs. Our benefit programs are state-of-the-art (because) we have numerous development programs and growth programs. We look at our talents in the Philippines as equally where we can place them globally,” White added.
“So we look at our talents (in the Philippines) as global talents. While they’re contributing here locally, they’re supporting people all over the world,” White stressed.
Further, he said Ingram Micro is “a wonderful place to work (for), a large organization but it still feels very intimate and family-oriented. The CEO of the organization knows people by name in the Philippines, so he knows what they’ve contributed. All of our global country executives or regional country executives, when they come here, know people by name. So I think that that’s a very strong message to the culture of our organization.”
Ingram Micro, a Fortune 100 company based in Irvine, California, meanwhile will be celebrating its 40 years of global operations.
In particular, Ingram Micro is the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions.
Moreover, it has local sales offices and representatives in 37 countries, with 119 distribution centers representing more than 1,700 vendors.
