The local healthcare information management (HIM) sector is eyeing the Philippines as a value-based healthcare technology and outsourcing hub.
Hence, organizers are slating a series of roadshows and business forums in New York and Texas to promote the Philippines.
The highlight will be the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference 2018 in Nevada in March.
In particular, the sector wants the global market to consider the Philippines as a partner in delivering value-based healthcare.
Moreover, the industry is pushing for the Philippines to become a single location or platform for “vertical integration.” In particular, integration covers voice and non-voice services (clinical or non-clinical) and technology, both traditional and digital.
Therefore, the integration of voice, non-voice and tech will support value-based healthcare models and continuum-of-care delivery.
“Our HIM services sector provides a single platform that allows convergence of technology, voice, and non-voice including clinical and non-clinical services,” HIM organizers said. “The Philippines offers a one-stop location where all the services needed to address the increasing demand for vertical integration of IT and BPM services are available.”
With the theme “Unlocking Opportunities, Embracing Innovation,” the business forum in New York will be on February 26. This will be at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in Fifth Avenue, NY.
Meanwhile, the business forum in Houston, Texas will be on March 1 at the 3rd Coats Restaurant in Texas Medical Center.
Speakers and guests include officials and delegates from the Philippine Consulate and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Also attending will be officials and representatives from the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) and TeleDevelopment.
Philippine case study presentations will cover services and solutions on healthcare information technology, as well as pharmaceutical and life sciences. Moreover, it will cover services and solutions on revenue cycle management and clinical support.
Finally, HIMSS 2018 will be on March 5-9 at the Venetian Palazzo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The conference will cover healthcare information and technology topics as diverse as privacy and cyber-security, data analytics and business intelligence, precision medicine and genomics.
