TALENT INTELLIGENCE:

Data Points on 5M LinkedIn Members,
176K Firms in PH to Benefit Jobs Market

— New data and other insights on LinkedIn, the social network for business professionals, will benefit Philippines-based recruiters and jobseekers.

Overall, the network contains 15,000 open job posts covering 22,000 standardized skills and 10,000 schools, colleges, and universities all over the country. In total, LinkedIn has a whopping 5 million members covering 176,000 companies in the Philippines.

Globally, the network has 546 million members covering 20 million companies. Its global data points cover 14 million jobs; 50,000 skills; and 29,000 schools.

ERA OF TALENT INTELLIGENCE

In an executive business forum in Shangri-la at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on April 24, speakers from LinkedIn discussed the new era of harnessing talent intelligence. For the business forum, LinkedIn worked with TeleDevelopment Services, a talent solutions partner in the Philippines.

The speakers were Kunal Malhotra of LinkedIn Enterprise Solutions new business acquisition for the Philippines, and Cliff Adora of LinkedIn corporate customer acquisition and partnerships with Philippine industry stakeholders. TeleDevelopment president Jon Kaplan moderated the forum.

Panelists include Arthur Nowak, SVP of TeleTech’s Asia Pacific operations; Hans Montenegro, COO of Manulife’s IT delivery centers; and Mark Lyndsell, CEO of Transcom’s Global English Region.

Forum participants include leaders and representatives from TeleTech, VXI Global, Transcom, SPI Global, Convergys, 24-7 Intouch, iQor, and Concentrix.

The participants’ concerns include quality of hire, retention rate and performance retention, fill rate and attrition, plus conversion and engagement. Moreover, they include net promoter score and employee performance, demographics, cost per hire and return of investment, and hiring assessments.

Participants also expressed interest in TeleDevelopment language assessment and recruitment solutions, payroll and managed services, among others. Further, they were interested with LinkedIn corporate recruiter dashboard, job slots and job postings, company and career page, and media solutions.

DATA-DRIVEN RECRUITMENT AND TALENT INTEL

Talent Intelligence is a new way to harness data and insights to reinvent and improve every step of the recruitment process. Combining these insights with the right instincts delivers the winning talent strategy.

Malhotra said open information and technology have created three new realities in the talent industry. These include:

  1. universal access, where every recruiter has access to the same candidate profiles;
  2. global opportunity, where anyone can find jobs, search for companies, and connect with anyone; and
  3. competitive shift, where competition & demand for quality talent has never been higher.

For his part, Adora stressed that LinkedIn has the broadest and deepest real-time data on professionals and companies.

Adora cited three major data points, which include:

  1. Identity data, referring to members’ mentions in their LinkedIn profile;
  2. Affinity data, regarding members’ activity on the platform; and
  3. Intent, members’ intent on their posts and feed.

LinkedIn also cited data in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and human resources (HR). Only 13% believed AI is now integrated in HR, but 55% believe that it would be so in the next five years.
