What are the most in-demand jobs and companies hiring right now, based on LinkedIn job posting data in the U.S. between March 15-21 this year?

As the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic disrupts global markets, the top jobs in the U.S. based on LinkedIn data are: Store Associate, System Operator, Certified Public Accountant, Healthcare Specialist, and Construction Worker, as well as Warehouse Manager, Psychologist, Vehicle Mechanic, Academic Advisor and Delivery Driver.

Meanwhile, organizations with the most open jobs in the U.S. include 7-Eleven, the Army National Guard, KPMG, Amazon, and Genentech, together with Lowe’s, HCA Healthcare, Intuit, Nepris and Whole Foods.

CRISIS HIRING: COVID-19

With companies mobilizing fast to find more Respiratory Specialists, demand is especially intense in New York and New Jersey.

To note, NY and NJ have seen the largest surge in patients with breathing issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Add to this, states like California, Florida, Texas and Arizona have experienced coronavirus-related job growth rates.

For the month of March alone, healthcare job postings are running 35% ahead of January’s pace, citing average number of LinkedIn job postings per day. In fact, healthcare jobs spike even though there is a general decline in overall labor outlook due to the outbreak.

The top healthcare positions are Registered Nurse, Doctor, Healthcare Specialist, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Patient Care Technician, then Psychologist, Medical Assistant, Emergency Room Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Nursing Manager.

MOST TRUSTED: LINKEDIN, PINTEREST, INSTAGRAM

LinkedIn remains the most trusted social platform for three years straight, ahead of Pinterest and Instagram.

According to the third annual Digital Trust Report from Business Insider Intelligence, this ranking was the result of an online survey of almost 2,000 respondents from April to May 2019.

The Digital Trust Report 2019 in particular ranks popular social media platforms with consumer trust metrics. According to BI, the ranking covers six pillars of digital trust: Security, Legitimacy, Community, User Experience, Shareability, and Relevance.

Digital trust is the confidence people have that a social platform will protect their information and provide a safe environment for them to create and engage with content.

Social media users are therefore more receptive to ads and sponsored content on platforms that have high digital trust.
