Manila, Philippines - This is another jubilant year for the International ICT Awards Philippines as it moves forward into the second decade of this important, prestigious annual awards event of the Philippine ICT and BPO Industry. The closing of the nomination last February 7, 2017, saw the surge of more than 110 entries, surpassing the best record of the previous edition of the International ICT Awards Philippines. Competing for the different award categories are first-time participants who eagerly joined this year’s event with the launching of a new award category – the Best First-Time Nominated Company of the Year.
Another exciting category launched this year is the Best Front-Line Team of the Year replacing last year’s Most Popular Team Leader award. Nine front-line teams are vying for this new award category. To help your favorite team lead in the counting, there are two stages of voting:
(1) Online Email Voting by the public until March 15, 2017, and
(2) SMS/Text Voting by the attendees during the ICT Awards Gala Night on March 22, 2017
The dramatic growth of the ICT industry in the Philippines during the last decade has greatly contributed to the country’s employment and boosted its economic activity. It has also inspired the key players of the Philippine ICT and IT-BPM sector to continuously improve their quality of service. These efforts are recognized by the International ICT Awards to deserving companies and raise their status to world-class caliber.
The deliberation process of nominees for the fifteen award categories of the 11th International ICT Awards Philippines is in progress. Among the most prestigious awards and highly anticipated are “The Best company of the Year” and “The Best Employer of the Year.”
Prominent brands are supporting the start of the second decade of the International ICT Awards Philippines. The country’s telecom giants, Globe and PLDT, who have supported the ICT Awards over the years and will be presenting the winners and runners-up for the Best Employer of the Year and Best Company of the Year. Award Category sponsors Colliers International, Meralco, and Globaltronics Inc. will be presenting the award to the winner and runners-up for the Best Global In-House Center Company of the Year, Best Filipino-Owned Company of the Year, and Best Company of the Year for Animation and Game Development, respectively. The Gala Night is expected to be more exciting this year as Philippine Airlines is giving out a round-trip business class ticket (Manila-Toronto-Manila) as the major raffle prize.
